Our Mission Statement

Our purpose is to help to keep all pupils, staff and visitors safe in and around our school.

Our Aims:

• Look after everyone in the school and keep them safe
• Make sure that areas inside school are safe and sort things out if we find problems
• Make sure that everyone is following the rules to stay safe inside school
• Make sure that areas outside school are safe and sort things out if we find problems
• To make sure that everyone knows how to stay safe on the roads around school
• To teach the children in school about Stranger Danger
• To teach everybody in school about sun safety

Meeting Notes:

26/9/24 Meeting 1

We chose our Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary.  We took a picture of our members for X.  We also discussed our annual aims, looking at the different types of safety issues that we can work on each term.

10/10/24 Meeting 2  

We started to look at what we could do to keep the school safe.  We divided all the safety ideas into terms. We also watched some road safety videos for ideas for this term where we are focusing on road safety. We decided what we could put on our road safety posters.  We also discussed what we could do to be safe like look both ways and use zebra crossings.

Ideas:

Reflection badges for children and staff.

Road safety posters to put around the school.

Email every parent.

Assembly about road safety

24/10/24 Meeting 3

We watched and discussed a road safety video.  We talked about the messages that we could write on our posters and what the images could look like.  We then started to make our road safety posters.
